And when the day ends
and Peak time traffic runs down the city’s tarred face.
When the sidewalks become alive
and carry sleepwalkers back to
the reality of home.
When worker ants drown in exhaust fumes
and feel their way through the concrete maze.
Will you take a moment
and look at the beautiful sky?

  1. JInksy says:

Thank you for that lifting of the spirits – and eyes- at the end of a working day. I can so identify with that feeling, after working in an office for years.
I used to dawdle on the last part of my homeward journey to do exactly that. You see, I had to walk through a couple of alleyways, and the sky was always framed at the end of them, and my footsteps often came to a halt while I marvelled at a skyscape.
Thanks for joining the Tandem again. ♥
