Soaking wet

Fishing for us

Promises of happiness the bait,

Ready to hook your fragile heart

Allow me.

Alas ! This river disappoints.

I struggle upstream,

losing sight of you

eventually giving up on the idea of us

whew, this poem took quite a turn for me as i love to dip the line…but the metaphor at the end is a cold wind…drifting apart and then giving up on the thought of us…sad…
