I’ve seen life

Each moment
a droplet in a ocean of memories.

Each wrinkle,
chiseled into my hands and face
an ember of forgotten experiences.

Each silver strand is
filled with mountains of wisdom.

Sitting on the edge of a life well lived,
the abyss below
fills me with uncertainty
And silent moments of despair
